Take ME Home!

Here's another great old vintage chippy white cabinet. This awesome piece dates from the late 1800's to possibly the early 1900's! I love the "sawcut" look on the piece above it's doors. And speaking of the doors, they are nice and solid wood! And how is this wonderful cupboard held up you may wonder? It sits on great lookin' "boot jack legs"!! This type of cupboard can be used in so many ways and rooms in your home. It would make great storage in the kitchen, a great look for any bathroom filled with towels, or just about any other need for storage you may need!! And the best, it is ONLY priced at $575!! If you are interested, just give us a call and you too can bring home a piece of history to your home!

You KNOW You Want It!

I LOVE this little pie safe, you know the white, chippy paint always attracts me to it! I'm surprised it hasn't sold yet. It belongs to Ginny, and I've borrowed her words to describe it: "this little gem is a pie safe/food safe/cupboard with the cooooooolest ventilation air holes ever! as you can see they run diagonally in each of the 4 doors and are backed with screen. the old white paint is wonderfully worn. cleaned and waxed to seal it from further loss. she measures 41" tall by 43" wide and 16"deep. cutest little ovoid wood wheels on bottom. side handles made of turned wood made her easy to move about. old. very unusual, very sweet, yet very primitive. a local find". This is priced really reasonable for what it is, $575! If you are interested, give us a call! And by the way, you should go visit Ginny's blog. She's got some great pictures of her country primitive antiques!

Love Is In The Air

You know "love is in the air" when you see all the red hearts beginning to pop-up all over Country Roads! It's a fun time of year. I remember being a kid on Valentines day, and I remember my kids being kids on Valentine's Day. You would go to school and have all those little cards and candy dropped into a bag that you had lovingly decorated. So sweet, so simple, so much fun. Oh, memories. We have many little Valentine displays throughout Country Roads right now. I love to do little vingettes in my own home for different holidays. Guess that is part of this business, an excuse to shop. Unfortunately, I don't have prices to post for "smalls". But, the larger pieces of merchandise I post pictures of will have prices with the picture in case any of you are interested!

Always Your Favorite, Never the Same

For those of you that really know "US", meaning the us that makes up Country Roads, you will know we have a sense of humor. For example, while I was taking pictures the other day at the store, I saw this in Scott Brake's space. I thought it was interesting, so I looked at the tag. The description was simple, "Madonna" Ringer $95. At first I thought to myself, "I've never heard of a Madonna Ringer". Then I looked again at the bells, and finally GOT Scott's sense of humor! That's Country Roads, we're all just a little bit "off" but in a good way. I'm continuing to put our site together, but for some reason am having trouble getting info to the sidebar. Also, you can now find us, meaning this page at: "CountryRoadsAntiquesandGarden.com" Although we are still on the Blogger platform, we do have a ".com" for those that search for us. Once I get more of that precious "time" I never seem to find, I'll have our page looking like it should! Take care.

Welcome to Our New Site

Our website from the past has always been a struggle for me to use. So, I'm in the process of switching to a format I'm accustomed to using, "Blogger". With time it will be up and running soon!
